CCPA works across Staffordshire and the West Midland to support the families of children with cancer.
We support families when a child has received a cancer diagnosis. It might be a poorly baby, young child or a teenager – we understand that a cancer diagnosis affects all ages and all members of the family.
That’s why our support extends to parents, siblings, grandparents as well as the child receiving treatment – we support the whole family
Our registered families enjoy a mixture of in-person and virtual support, including parties, day trips, financial help, mindfulness and art activities. We also organise lunches and meet-ups as well as post out seasonal parcels and surprise treats.
When a new family contacts us for support, we reach out to them so we can learn about their cancer journey so far and let them know that we understand what they are facing – they are not alone.
2
The Support
Each family is different, and we will alter our approach to suit what each family needs. They are free to take up as much or as little of our support as they wish.
3
Always There
We will be there to support a family for as long as they need us, regardless of the outcome of treatment.
