Stafford-based Carthy Accountants had all the answers when they held a charity quiz to raise funds for both CCPA and A Child of Mine.
In the sumptuous surroundings of the Stafford Post House, M.D. Michael Carthy became MC and Quiz Master as he kept 15 eager quiz teams entertained and informed with his ‘unique’ style as host – teams could purchase a joker card to boost their score and wrong answers counted as right… so long as a sufficiently sized donation was made!
The winning team really were the ‘icing on the cake’ at this fun-filled fundraiser as local business Tina’s Family Bakery celebrated a victory and took home first prize and Michael closed the evening with the announcement that over £700 was raised.
The quiz was just one event in what will be a special year of fundraising as Carthy’s Accountants celebrate 25 years by raising £25,000 for the two local charities.
All their activities have been themed as part of a virtual ‘Accountants Pilgrimage‘ where staff will walk, run, cycle, row and swim the equivalent distance from Stafford to Greece – the home of the original ‘calculator’
